Global Infrastructure
Multi-regional deployment, data residency, and performance architecture
Infrastructure Overview
DocAssure operates a global infrastructure designed to serve organizations across Africa and BRICS nations. Our architecture prioritizes data sovereignty, low latency, and high availability to meet the stringent requirements of financial institutions, government entities, and regulatory bodies.
BRICS & Africa Regions
Burkina Faso - Ouagadougou
PrimaryPrimary data center serving West Africa. Compliance: ECOWAS Data Protection, AU Convention on Cyber Security. Timezone: GMT (UTC+0). Latency: ~3ms for local users.
South Africa - Johannesburg
BackupSecondary data center providing backup and failover capabilities. Compliance: POPIA, King IV, BRICS Data Sovereignty. Timezone: SAST (UTC+2). Latency: ~45ms from primary.
Nigeria - Lagos
StandbyStandby region for West African expansion. Compliance: NDPR, ECOWAS Framework. Timezone: WAT (UTC+1). Latency: ~80ms from primary.
Africa Regional Hub
StandbyPan-African hub for continental coverage. Compliance: AU Data Policy Framework. Latency: ~120ms from primary. Activated for regional overflow and disaster recovery.
BRICS Network
StandbyBRICS-aligned infrastructure for cross-border operations. Compliance: BRICS Data Governance Framework. Latency: ~200ms from primary. Reserved for BRICS member nation integrations.
Data Residency & Compliance
Data Sovereignty
Your data is stored and processed only within your selected region. Cross-border transfers require explicit consent and follow regulatory guidelines.
Regional Isolation
Each region operates independently with isolated databases, ensuring data from one region never mixes with another without authorization.
Compliance Frameworks
Built-in support for POPIA, NDPR, ECOWAS Data Protection, AU Cyber Security Convention, and BRICS data governance standards.
Cross-Border Controls
Granular controls for managing data sharing between regions with full audit trails and regulatory reporting capabilities.
High Availability & Disaster Recovery
Automatic Failover
If the primary region experiences issues, traffic automatically routes to the backup region (South Africa). RPO (Recovery Point Objective): 15 minutes. RTO (Recovery Time Objective): 5 minutes.
Redundant Infrastructure
All critical components are deployed with redundancy. Databases use synchronous replication, storage uses distributed object storage, and compute resources are spread across availability zones.
Backup Strategy
Automated backups run every 6 hours with 30-day retention. Point-in-time recovery is available for databases. Backups are stored in a separate region for geographic redundancy.
Performance Monitoring
If you experience slow performance, check the Infrastructure Dashboard for any service degradation alerts. Contact support if issues persist beyond 15 minutes.
